Terms of Service

Last updated: July 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding Dune: Awakening Docker — Sentinel ("Sentinel", formerly "Arrakis Control Panel"/"ACP", formerly "Thumper", "the Bot") to your Discord server, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not add the Bot to your server.

2. Description of Service

Sentinel is a Discord bot that monitors Dune Awakening self-hosted game servers and provides information through Discord slash commands. The Bot connects to a Dune Docker Console API and relays server status, player data, and operational metrics to Discord.

The Bot is provided "as is" with no warranties. It is a community project and is not affiliated with Funcom, Legendary Entertainment, or any official Dune franchise entity.

3. Your Responsibilities

  • Server Ownership: You must own or have explicit permission to manage the Discord server and Dune game server you connect the Bot to.
  • Configuration: You are responsible for correctly configuring the Bot, including API tokens, role permissions, and channel settings.
  • Compliance: You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Developer Policy at all times.
  • Game Server Terms: You must comply with the terms of service of your Dune Awakening self-hosted server and any applicable Funcom EULA.

4. Data and Privacy

4.1 Data Collected

The Bot collects and processes the following data:

  • Discord user IDs and server IDs (for role-based access control)
  • Your console URL and adapter token, and Discord role mappings (stored in the Bot's own database)
  • Character names linked to Discord accounts (created on your console, cached in the Bot's own database)
  • Command usage logs (for cooldown and audit purposes)
  • Server status data relayed from your Dune Console API (not retained by the Bot)

4.2 Data Storage

The Bot is a hosted service — connection data (console URL, adapter token, role mappings, cached character links) is stored in the Bot's own database, operated by the maintainer. Your underlying game data, configuration, and logs remain on your own Dune game server. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

4.3 Data Sharing

The Bot does not sell, share, or transmit your data to third parties. Data flows only between your Discord server, the Bot's hosted infrastructure, and your Dune Console API.

5. Limitations of Liability

The Bot is provided free of charge on an "as is" basis. In no event shall the developers, contributors, or maintainers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Bot, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of game server data or backups
  • Discord server disruptions or bans
  • Unauthorized access to your game server
  • Service interruptions or downtime

6. Intellectual Property

The Bot's source code is available under its project license. "Dune," "Arrakis," "Fremen," and related trademarks are property of their respective owners. The Bot is a fan-made community project and is not officially endorsed by any rights holder.

7. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Significant changes will be announced in the project repository.

8. Termination

You may remove the Bot from your server at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Bot for violations of these Terms or Discord's policies.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the primary maintainer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Contact

For questions about these Terms, contact us via the project's Discord server or GitHub repository.
